Is the Abrahamic God really that good? And is Satan really that evil?

This is basically something I wrote because of some big discussion I had with friends and with people on different forums. And honestly, I am sick of all these missionaries that believe that they are right and that their view on the subject is the universal truth and everything else is evil and satanic. So now I will give some facts that shows my view about the biblical God directly from bible, and without any interpretation from a priest or someone who can distort the text to their benefit. This is only my conclusions of my experience and research with Abrahamic religions and I do not state this as a fact. I don’t either try to convince jews, christians and muslims that their view is wrong. I simply give you another view on the subject due to the fact that most of the religious people only have seen it in one way. It’s up to you to believe or not believe.

Now, many people believes that everything is black and white, good and evil, so I write from that point of view but this does not mean that I have that view on the subject. And in this case my conclusion is that God is Evil and Satan are Good. For me it doesn’t matter that Satan means something else such as adversary or accuser, because as one big mass (such as christianity and Islam is) can change the words literal meaning, twist and shout however they like, manipulate books and facts like they have done through the history.

Then why do I believe that God is evil?

First I want to define what I mean with evil; Evil is intentionally causing harm or destruction, or deliberately violating some moral code.

So first I will prove that God is Evil – directly from the bible. I will only put one verse in each category because I don’t want it to be to much to read. If you like more I can add it afterwards. I use the New International Version

Natural Disasters
God is the one who creates Natural Disasters.

“The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and maintains his wrath against his enemies. The LORD is slow to anger and great in power; the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebukes the sea and dries it up; he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither and the blossoms of Lebanon fade. The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it. Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him.” Nahum 1:2-6

Human Sacrifice
God likes the aroma of burnt flesh and command us to burn animal and children.

The Lord said “Consecrate to me every first-born that opens the womb among Israelites, both man and beast, for it belongs to me.” Exodus 13:2

Murder in the Bible
fortune-tellers, homosexuals, cursing parents, hitting dad, adultery, fornication. If one don’t listen to priests one should die. One should also kill brats, son of sinners, the curious ones and so on.. the list is long.

“If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.” Leviticus 20:13

Rape in the Bible
For me rape is one of the most heinous crimes, yet the bible often condense and even approves it.

”If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.” Deuteronomy 22:28-29

Slavery in the Bible
Clearly the bible also approves with slavery, also this one of the most immoral things one can imagine.

”All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered. Those who have believing masters are not to show less respect for them because they are brothers. Instead, they are to serve them even better, because those who benefit from their service are believers, and dear to them. These are the things you are to teach and urge on them.” 1 Timothy 6:1-2

“Okay, there are some evil writings but it is from the Old Testaments” maybe some christians would say. Yeah, except for the last verse about slavery most of the writings is from the Old Testaments. But that is just a bad argument. Christians are manipulating the scriptures so that they can assign a kinder nature to their God, but here is (again) one verse (can give you more) which clearly show that the Old Testament is not to be ignored.

”Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.”– Matthew 5:17-18

So what do we get from this? For me this shows that God is intentionally is causing harm, destruction and are deliberately violating moral codes. Isn’t that evil?

Satan is good.

This is a hard to prove, since there only is God’s word to trust, but from what I’ve seen that isn’t worth much. And using some logical sense and reading from the bible one can make it clear that he is good, or not evil.

Satan gave knowledge to humanity by giving Adam and Eve the fruit from the forbidden tree. Because of Satan, humanity gained knowledge of good and evil. So, this is a thinker; Could Adam and Eve have knowledge of good and evil before eating the fruit? No, Adam and Eve couldn’t have known that eating the fruit was evil since they didn’t have the knowledge of good and evil. So for me it seems a little harsh to punish them as severely as God did. Satan gave humans true capacity for moral judgment, unlike God, who simply expected everyone to mindlessly obey his orders. There is also no biblical record of Satan engaging in the murder of torture of any human being, unlike God, who is guilty (and proudly guilty) of committing genocide. And there is no biblical record of Satan ever ordering someone to kill someone else, unlike God, who has repeatedly demanded the deaths of those who commit even the smallest of offenses as you can read above.
